31st July - We bade farewell to two of our students John & Liu Yun. And they will definitely be missed. Liu Yun for his ever overwhelming enthusiasm in organising Jap. Buffet outings, his amazing store of downloaded "pirate booty" and his contribution to reinforce the tradition of getting the students to buy the lab snacks on their last day. (Before that it was just an unspoken truth) But John, other than fulfilling this tradition, is set to set ever higher standards for attachment students. He melted our heart with the little cards he made for all of us. Aww..so sweet...But we want to know whether the number of exclaimation marks (or the lack of it) is a reflection of anything? Dr YY lamented that his is "lowest rank" cos he doesn't have any '!', compared to KS's 'To Kah Suan!' and Felicia's 'To Felicia!!!' Anyhow, we share some of the parting shots...
John: I'm not KS!WJ: Yah..I know, why do you think i'm looking away...?
WJ: *hissed under his breath* John...why are you even in the picture?John: *mumbles behind his smile* Eeeee cos it's my last day?
John: Come on mentor. Let's take a nice cosy parting photo.
Nasir: Sorry. I'm not going to smile even for my first student in LDX. I don't practice favoritism.
John: OK, I'll look for someone who will
Dr Liu: erm boy, smile no prob. but you dint say anything about your hand on my shoulder...
