A few days later, Mr Soh came and helped us fixed this dirty smelly (I think) sink filled with duno what. Guess what, the answer to my previous question is revealed. The cup of the sink was choked with a gigantic piece of agar-like thing (which we all presumed is agarose). Felicia was furious at this finding and wanted to find out who the culprit is. As usual, noone admitted.
Noone has casted any RNA gels (usually done in the fume cupboard) in the past two weeks, so it is unlikely its been thrown there by the people doing northern blot and its likely the gel contained ethidium bromide *gasps* poor Mr Soh.
Don't tell me its the ghost who left the bsc hood open overnight again?? I sure hope its not some sabotage by people from other labs. What have we done to deserve this kind of treatment?
Hopefully this is the last of a string of strange happenings in the lab...
