LDXLAB -
A world-class (just like how everything else in spore seems to be world class..) research lab based in S'pore. LDXLAB has lots to offer, in addition to the world class research experience - the thrill of working in exclusive BSL2+ facility (you know, it's just like how we prefer A+ to A), the pleasure of listening to the one and only LDX Station ( speakers + mp3 player loaded with songs ranging from oldies to techno, we've got it all), free food (coerced out of poor students who unknowingly joined the lab and staff who got the nerve to leave..) and most importantly peer support in online shopping. LDXLAB - it's a lab and so much more

In view of current craze over cheap clothing imported from SAR-HK (see sample of buys below), we seek dedicated and qualified people to join us as:

ONLINE FASHION BUYER

Job responsibilities:
- provide administrative support to our purchasing director (Ms RH) in the co-ordination of shopping list
- liase with buyer. ("Aunties" with good bargaining skills are welcome)
- handle full accounts for our purchasing operations
- source for new credible sources of materials

Requirements
- Bilingual (multilingual is a plus. we dun exclude the possibility of buying from cheaper alternatives such as India, spain, indonesia, thailand etc..)
- Computer literate ( especially IE, duh it's a online shopping position)
- Independent and willing to work under pressure ( some people like to pressurize others to "support" their buys so that we can get a pair..must be strong to withstand it)
- Resourceful (so that we can source for better online sites!)
- Of the female species (yah, we dun trust taste of the male species. We tested)

31st July 2007 - John & Liu Yun's last day

31st July - We bade farewell to two of our students John & Liu Yun. And they will definitely be missed. Liu Yun for his ever overwhelming enthusiasm in organising Jap. Buffet outings, his amazing store of downloaded "pirate booty" and his contribution to reinforce the tradition of getting the students to buy the lab snacks on their last day. (Before that it was just an unspoken truth) But John, other than fulfilling this tradition, is set to set ever higher standards for attachment students. He melted our heart with the little cards he made for all of us. Aww..so sweet...But we want to know whether the number of exclaimation marks (or the lack of it) is a reflection of anything? Dr YY lamented that his is "lowest rank" cos he doesn't have any '!', compared to KS's 'To Kah Suan!' and Felicia's 'To Felicia!!!' Anyhow, we share some of the parting shots...

John: I'm not KS!

WJ: Yah..I know, why do you think i'm looking away...?






WJ: *hissed under his breath* John...why are you even in the picture?

John: *mumbles behind his smile* Eeeee cos it's my last day?

John: Come on mentor. Let's take a nice cosy parting photo.

Nasir: Sorry. I'm not going to smile even for my first student in LDX. I don't practice favoritism.
