A dummys guide to thawing -80C freezer

Apparatus: Hammer, spade, bucket, trays, nitrile gloves, biohazard bags, thrash bags

Personnel(s): Tall strong man with exceptionally long limbs (x1), small petite lady with exceptionally good memory and a good voice to scold any offenders(x2), odd-job lady (x1)Experienced virologists cum inexperienced archaeologist (x4)

Steps:

1. Open the freezer door with the -80C key (red).

2. Turn off the freezer

3. Open the temporary freezer door with yellow key.

4. Transfer the racks to the temporary freezer.

5. Transfer loose racks, boxes etc to the temporary freezer as well

6. Close the temporary freezer door

7. Send the tall man to scoop up all the ice to trays under the supervision of the petite lady

8. Get odd job lady to transfer ice from trays to thrash bags

9. Get the odd job lady to transport the ice to lab

10. Get archaeologist to dig for "precious" finds. Keep carefully in boxes if useful materials ate retrieved

11.Get virologists to certify 'safety" of finds. Discard if found biohazardous

12. Get petite lady to hunt down culprits who left their unlabelled boxes lying carelessly in the freezer

13. Close the freezer door
